Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a skilled shift supervisor to lead a production team in a semiconductor/optics manufacturing environment.

You will oversee output, allocate resources, and ensure targets are met, while coordinating with engineering, QA, and planning teams to maintain efficient operations. The role requires experience in wafer fabrication or related electronics manufacturing, strong MS Office skills, and ISO process familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 yrs experience as a supervisor or line manager in production/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with MES CAMSTAR and PDM Agile; MS Excel, Word.
• Knowledge and experience working in ISO 9K/14K environment. Auditor and auditee in area of responsibility.
• Ability to be trained and certified for ERT (Emergency Response Team).
• Prior experience in wafer fabrication, assembly, and/or testing of semiconductors, optoelectronics, or electronics.
• High School degree AS/BS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage shift production output to meet targets.
• Allocate technician and operator resources to achieve targets.
• Cross-train technicians and cover during PTOs and absences.
• Recruit, hire, train, retain, discipline direct labor, timecards, PTO, reviews, performance improvements.
• Manage timecards and schedule OT when necessary.
• Coordinate material, equipment, facilities, and labor to achieve production targets.
• Report on shift output and conduct pass down meetings.
• Maintain training records and participate in yearly audits.
• Collaborate with Process Eng, R&D, QA, Planning, Facilities, and Maintenance.
