Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a plant production supervisor to oversee and mentor a team across multiple shifts in a dairy manufacturing environment. You will ensure production goals are met, maintain safety and quality standards, and coordinate with maintenance and HR to resolve issues.

This role requires 2+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong knowledge of GMPs, and the ability to work flexible shifts to cover 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing.
• Minimum of 2 years previous supervisory experience.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign work, and provide clear direction to production employees. Ensure the production process flows smoothly, and daily production goals are met.
• Monitor operations activities (milk receiving, standardizing, pasteurization, separating, freezing, cooling, filling, mixing, packaging, storing, etc.) to ensure plant production and quality standards are met.
• Monitor the equipment used in production processes to ensure that equipment is functioning efficiently and is properly cleaned and sanitized. Arrange for timely repair/resolution of equipment failures.
• Promote safe work behaviors and hold self and direct reports accountable for following safety rules and regulations. Conduct accident/injury investigations and report to HR as needed.
• Supervise production scheduling to meet orders and productivity goals; ensure materials are staged for next runs.
