Job summary

DG Foods LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Hazlehurst, MS facility to oversee line operations on a shift, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards. You will report to the Production Superintendent and manage maintenance, production, shipping, receiving, and sanitation to optimize profitability.

The role requires leadership of 15-35 direct reports, with a focus on training staff, improving processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance with USDA/HACCP/SSOP/GPM policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office 365, and related software.
• Strong conflict resolution and customer service skills are essential.
• Must understand USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and GPM policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate line and product operations for the designated shift.
• Recruit, train, and motivate staff to maintain operational excellence.
• Ensure plant security measures are in place to prevent theft and safeguard assets.
• Learn and ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and GPM policies.
• Uphold safety and health programs and conduct inspections to mitigate hazards.
• Monitor operations to meet quality specifications and regulatory standards.
• Implement cost-saving measures and promote efficiency.
• Coordinate departmental activities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Provide leadership and direction to achieve company goals.
• Set production goals and monitor performance against targets.
• Ensure effective customer service and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to meet regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain positive employee relations and resolve conflicts.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
