Job summary

DG Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Bastrop, LA facility. This role involves overseeing the production line operations during a designated shift, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, this individual will manage processing functions, train staff, uphold USDA/HACCP/SSOP/GMP policies, and drive cost savings while maintaining strong customer service and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant line production operations on the designated shift.
• Train and motivate staff to maintain operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and GMP policies.
• Uphold safety programs and conduct inspections.
• Monitor production to meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Implement cost-saving measures and promote efficiency.
• Coordinate departmental activities to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Provide leadership to achieve company goals and ensure customer service.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to meet regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain positive employee relations and resolve conflicts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
