Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years experience in all areas of plant production work.
• High School diploma or equivalence. Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.
• Completion of formal management skills training program.

Responsibilities

• Directs shift production, checks formulas, assigns tasks, and monitors schedules to ensure quality and safety.
• Reviews records to ensure efficient use of time and materials; performs inspections to maintain quality.
• Ensures that all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Promotes positive relations and interdepartmental communication.
• Maintains a safe workplace by enforcing safety policies and conducting inspections and meetings.
• Plans and adjusts work assignments to cover all production phases.
• May operate facility metal detectors; must be fully trained and certified.
• Ensures compliance with work rules.
• Assists with training.
• Participates in disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of the work area.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required by management.

Education

High School diploma or equivalence. Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.

Completion of formal management skills training program.
