Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. seeks a Production Supervisor to direct shift production at our Norfolk, VA facility. You will monitor formulas, assign tasks, and manage schedules to ensure product safety, legality, and quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalence. Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program.
• Completion of formal management skills training program.
• Two or more years experience in plant production work.

Responsibilities

• Directs shift production, checks formulas, assigns tasks, and monitors schedules for quality and safety.
• Instructs production technicians and outsourced labor on equipment use.
• Reviews records to ensure proper use of time and materials; inspects product to ensure quality.
• Maintains equipment in good operating condition.
• Promotes safe environment and enforces safety policies.
• Plans and adjusts work assignments to cover all production phases.
• Operates facility metal detector and remains trained/certified.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and attendance.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
