Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Fremont, CA seeks a production shift supervisor to drive output, manage technicians, and optimize the flow of materials and equipment. The role demands hands-on leadership in a wafer/electronics manufacturing environment and strict adherence to lean practices.

You will supervise, train, and cross-train staff, maintain records, and coordinate with Process Engineering, Quality, and Planning to meet daily targets. ISO standards and ERT readiness are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 yrs as supervisor or line manager in production/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with MES e.g. CAMSTAR and PDM systems e.g. Agile; MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000/14K environments; auditor/auditee experience.
• Wafers/semiconductors, optoelectronics, or electronics experience.
• High School degree; AS/BS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for shift output and targets.
• Manage technician/resources allocation to meet targets.
• Cross-train technicians; cover PTOs and absences.
• Coordinate material, equipment, and labor to achieve production goals.
• Maintain timecards and plan overtime as needed.
• Report shift output and lead pass-down meetings.
• Collaborate with Process Eng, R&D, Quality, Planning, Facilities.
