Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education required; strong math, computer literacy, and communication skills.
• Some college coursework is preferable.
• Three to five years supervisory or group leader experience in a food plant environment required.
• Must be able to organize tasks and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Manage shift operations.
• Ensure compliance to the production schedule at all times.
• Determine efficient use of personnel, equipment, and supplies to achieve schedule.
• Monitor production operations for SOP compliance and deviations.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate activities to management daily.
• Audit personnel for policy compliance and maintain records.
• Plan staffing with Production Manager and Production Scheduler.
• Promote team-based decision making and coach staff.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and inform Purchasing when needed.
• Inform Maintenance when major repairs are needed.
• Prepare and submit work orders; follow up on status.
• Participate in team meetings and training; contribute to management discussions.
• Pursue personal development and set quarterly goals with management.
• Use time management tools to monitor daily activities.
