Job summary

Balchem Corporation seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead a Spray Dry production shift, ensuring adherence to schedule, SOPs, GMPs and safety policies. You will advise, control, and support operations while coordinating with maintenance and QA to uphold food safety and quality.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills, with 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a food plant and willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school education required with strong math and communication skills.
• Three to five years of supervisory or group leader experience in a food plant.
• Willingness for long days, weekends and holiday work as needed.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct and motivate personnel for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, environmentally responsible, cost-effective production.
• Adhere to the production schedule at all times.
• Determine efficient use of personnel, equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with QA to follow food safety policies.
• Communicate shift activities to Production Manager daily.
• Maintain contact with Production Manager to plan staffing requirements.
• Prepare batching records and labels; submit work orders timely.
• Supervise and coach team; participate in meetings and training.
