Job summary

Frederick Fox is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee transportation operations and staff across shifts. You will ensure routes run on time, supervise drivers and dispatchers, and uphold DOT/FMCSA and company standards.

The role requires real-time problem solving, strong communication, and leadership in a fast-paced environment. Office and field-based work with coverage across evenings, weekends, and holidays is typical in this 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in transportation, logistics, or operations leadership (shuttle/bus preferred).
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Proven leadership with interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with productivity tools and dispatch software.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or holidays for 24/7 operation.
• CDL strongly preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and dispatch staff during shifts.
• Ensure routes are covered and on time.
• Monitor dispatch logs and route performance.
• Provide real-time problem-solving for delays or issues.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings with drivers.
• Enforce DOT/FMCSA regulations and company standards.
• Submit end-of-shift reports and track attendance.
• Collaborate with other Shift Managers for continuity.
