Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and industrial equipment.
• Strong leadership and safety focus with ability to manage shifts 24/7.
• Willingness to work on site in East Chicago, IN.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all personnel on shift / in the Plant.
• Plan production operations and scheduling per Turn to meet specs.
• Direct and coordinate activities of hourly employees.
• Maintain safety procedures and comply with union contract.
• Prepare staffing schedules and overtime planning.
• Report and resolve operational, maintenance issues to avoid delays.
• Inspect machines and equipment for performance.
• Work across shifts, engage hourly workforce to discourage strikes.
• Open communication with customer regarding production transitions.
