Job summary

Genpak is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee equipment and facility upkeep on a 12-hour shift. You will diagnose and repair extrusion/thermoforming machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure tooling and parts inventory are accurately managed.

The role requires reading schematics, electrical and pneumatic knowledge, and the ability to work off a schedule with documented compliance. A GED or high school diploma is required and OSHA safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience required, including welding and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and building to ensure good working order.
• Coordinate with Shift Supervisor on shift start to maximize uptime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety programs with proper documentation.
• Repair and diagnose machinery using pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls.
• Breakdown and setup extrusion/thermoforming equipment, ensuring tooling is in good condition.
• Complete all work orders promptly and manage maintenance parts inventory.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA safety rules.
• Perform end-of-shift housekeeping and shift-change communications.
