Job summary

Genpak is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep extrusion and related equipment in peak condition at our Charlotte, NC facility. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, and coordinating with the Shift Supervisor to maximize production uptime.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience with pneumatics/hydraulics, and the ability to read schematics. You will also handle safety programs and plant sanitation tasks as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience including welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls, and plant machinery maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

Maintain all equipment, machinery, and building in good working order and repair as necessary.
Coordinate shift work and assign tasks with Shift Supervisor to maximize uptime and efficiency.
Perform preventive maintenance and safety programs with proper documentation.
Repair and troubleshoot extrusion/thermoforming machinery and related tooling.
Operate PIT equipment per OSHA specifications and train on safety procedures.
Unload incoming material and assist in plant sanitation audits and daily housekeeping.
