Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Devens, MA seeks a Shift Manager to lead the execution of commercial manufacturing processes for therapeutic proteins, ensuring cGMP compliance and guiding a skilled team.

You will train staff, drive right-first-time performance, oversee equipment like bioreactors, chromatography, DeltaV, SAP, and coordinate daily schedules; join a culture focused on safety, process improvement and collaboration.

Qualifications

• B.S. in science, engineering, biochemistry or related discipline; equivalent is highly desired.
• 6+ years of biologic manufacturing experience; supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of SOPs and cGMPs within a regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and related technology transfer.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced, complex environment; strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of manufacturing unit operations (bioreactors, chromatography systems, media/buffer prep equipment).
• Drive right first time execution through real-time training and problem solving.
• Develop and mentor the team; leverage internal/external relationships for staffing.
• Ensure adherence to GMPs and SOPs; manage daily scheduling and shift communications.
• Provide critical communications up and down the chain; support shift handovers and huddles.
• Review equipment and process deviations; drive troubleshooting and improvements.
