About The Role
The Shift Manager Beverage will have primary responsibility for managing Casino Beverage staff during an assigned shift.
Position Responsibilities
- Train and evaluate team members
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping at all times
- Interview applicants according to established personnel policies and procedures
- Implement and adhere to beverage cost control procedures
- Prepare drinks and cocktails according to recipes
- Maintain beverage department costs at acceptable levels
- Recommend specialty drink recipes and merchandising concepts
- Follow all food and beverage policies, labor laws, liquor laws, and health codes
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
Essential Functions
- Monitor staff and customer actions to ensure safety and compliance with liquor regulations
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment
- Maintain opening and closing procedures and security standards
- Read invoices and contracts carefully
- Lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs
- Work in casino environment with exposure to smoke, noise, and stress
- Communicate effectively in English
- Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours
Requirements
- 1-3 years supervisory experience in a high-volume outlet or restaurant
- Ability to work independently and meet goals
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Reliable, able to multi-task and work under pressure
