Subway Group is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain food quality. You will lead a team, manage inventory, and ensure the store runs smoothly across shifts.

The role emphasizes training Sandwich Artists, scheduling staff, and keeping equipment and paperwork in order, with flexibility across full-time or part-time schedules in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year restaurant experience needed.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Ensure food is prepared and served to standard.

• Control inventory and manage stock levels.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Shift Manager will focus on six main things:

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
