Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager in Fort Smith, AR to lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain food quality and cleanliness.

You will supervise staff, manage inventory, train team members, and handle paperwork. This role offers hands-on restaurant experience and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience.
• Ensure food is prepared and served properly.
• Keep the restaurant clean, functional, and beautiful.
• Control inventory and schedule/supervise staff.
• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists on responsibilities.
• Complete paperwork as needed.
• Operate the POS system and cash register.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standardsEnsuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
