Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations at our Tiogue, RI location. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, staff scheduling, and teamwork to uphold Subway standards.

In addition to managerial duties, you’ll train Sandwich Artists, supervise shifts, and ensure equipment and POS systems run smoothly. Availability for full-time or part-time, day/evening/weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system.
• Willingness to work Full Time/Part Time and Day/Evening/Weekend shifts varies by location.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest experience and food service.
• Keep the restaurant functional, clean, and organized.
• Schedule and supervise staff, cascade training to Sandwich Artists.
• Control inventory and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Complete paperwork as needed and maintain shift paperwork.

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
