Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to lead day-to-day operations in our Indiana location. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, and staff scheduling, while cascading training to Sandwich Artists on new responsibilities.

You will also supervise staff, ensure proper equipment operation, and handle paperwork as needed. The role may vary by location with full-time or part-time options and various shifts. Compensation to be discussed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of restaurant experience or more.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
