Restaurant Shift Lead Responsibilities

• Effectively lead the restaurant.
• Monitor training and development of new employees on shift.
• Assist with labor management costs.
• Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, and following up with all team members.
• Exhibit leadership skills to motivate employees, resolve conflicts, and make hard decisions.
• Work as part of a team to ensure a great dining experience; being a team player is essential.
• Be proficient in all areas of the restaurant to assist when necessary.
• Promote the Salata Restaurant culture with integrity and honesty.
• Follow inventory control procedures to reduce product loss.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
• Manage time effectively and meet all job responsibilities.
• Create a positive work environment for employees and guests.
• Prepare foods when necessary, ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness according to Salata standards.
• Check food quality and temperatures to maintain health and safety regulations.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures, including proper knife handling and equipment use.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the restaurant industry.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to use a touch-sensitive POS system.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-temperature kitchen environment for extended periods.
• Completed training in all restaurant areas.
• Ability to take direction and delegate responsibilities.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Previous customer service experience helpful; basic computer skills required.
• Valid driver’s license.
