Job summary

The Wendy's Company is seeking a Shift Manager in Ohio to guide Crew members, ensure timely service, and uphold quality and safety standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

You will train staff, monitor operations, and support opening or closing duties, with on-the-job training and advancement opportunities as part of our team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant or supervisory experience.
• Ability to legally work in the US and be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, and follow up on Crew activities to ensure service quality.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Crew team members and train new staff.
• Monitor tasks to maintain food safety, quality, and cost control, and follow safety guidelines.
• Responsible for opening or closing procedures as needed.

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
