Job summary

The Wendy's Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a Shift Manager to lead Crew, assign tasks, coach teammates, and ensure food quality and safety standards are met. You will monitor daily operations, train crew, and may handle opening or closing duties to keep service on time.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of restaurant or supervisory experience, are able to work in a fast-paced environment, and can obtain Food Safety Certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant or supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, and follow up on Crew tasks to ensure quality and service.
• Provide guidance and coaching to crew members, including delegation and instruction.
• Ensure proper training and maintain safe working conditions per guidelines.
• Monitor QSC and assist with cost-control procedures where applicable.
• May be responsible for opening or closing procedures.

Job description

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
