Job summary

The Wendy's Company is seeking a Shift Manager to overseeCrew team activities, provide coaching, and ensure high-quality service and food safety. You will guide assignments, monitor QSC, and support cost-control practices during service hours.

The role emphasizes training, adherence to safety guidelines, and readiness to manage opening or closing procedures in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant or supervisory experience
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification and follow safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, and follow up on Crew team member activities to ensure timely service
• Provide guidance and coaching to crew, delegate tasks, and ensure proper instruction
• Monitor product quality, service, and cleanliness (QSC) and control costs through proper food prep and procedure adherence
• Assist with opening or closing procedures as needed

Shift managers play a vital role in our success as a business by assigning, directing, and following up on activities of Crew team members while also providing high quality service and food to our customers. Job responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to crew team members, including assignment delegation, instruction, and follow-through. Shift managers ensure proper training for crew team members and maintain safe working conditions by ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed. To assist you in learning to be a successful part of our team, we offer on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

This position does not include direct supervision of other employees, however Shift Managers do monitor tasks performed by crew team members to ensure product Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) as well as execute established cost control systems including proper food prep amounts, procedure execution, and bin chart usage to minimize food cost. Shift managers may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures.
