Job summary

Mondelēz International in United States, Illinois, Chicago seeks a Shift Leader to supervise line operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency. You will lead maintenance, coach teams, and ensure production targets are met with a strong focus on loss elimination and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong frontline leadership, experience in manufacturing, and the ability to navigate union environments while promoting 5S and standard work. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical qualification; associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years in current role with leadership readiness.
• 5+ years of production experience in manufacturing; 3+ years in team lead/supervisor.
• Strong understanding of production line operations, quality checks, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prevent incidents by ensuring zero safety incidents mentality on line(s).
• Enforce safety rules, keep an organized hazard-free environment.
• Promote 5S and standard visual management on the line.
• Prevent incidents by ensuring zero quality incidents mentality.
• Monitor adherence to quality standards; act on non-conformances.
• Ensure quality checks, documentation, and traceability are completed.
• Ensure volumes are produced in time in full against production plan.
• Input and validate shift performance data in ERP/MES/dashboards.
• Respond promptly to line stoppages, quality issues, and equipment malfunctions.
• Improve cost over time through loss elimination.
• Build and grow high-performing teams on the line.
• Coach and develop line teams; succession planning.
• Own SWP execution; daily management and prioritization.
• Escalate issues effectively through Daily Management System.
