Job summary

Thorntons LLC is seeking a shift leader to oversee safety, GSR duties, cash and inventory control, and vendor check-ins. The role includes training team members on standard practices and food safety and executing Thorntons food and beverage programs.

You will work across multiple shifts and coach new team members, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed when store leadership is unavailable. This position emphasizes a welcoming guest experience and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the responsible leader on shift when Store/General Manager is absent, assign work and monitor inventory and shift procedures.
• Deliver guest service with a helpful attitude and follow store management instructions.
• Practice safe working habits and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Adhere to laws on restricted sales (alcohol, tobacco, lottery).
• Prepare fresh food following food safety standards and maintain logs and dating procedures.
• Follow cash handling procedures and document price overrides and discrepancies.
• Keep coolers, dispensers, shelves, and displays stocked and fronted.
• Use suggestive selling to promote items and participate in the Refreshing Rewards program.
• Maintain store cleanliness and equipment and manage fuel/disposal areas.
