Job summary

Thorntons LLC is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, food safety, and accurate cash handling. The role requires coaching team members, managing inventory and shift tasks, and delivering excellent guest service across multiple shifts.

You will train new team members, enforce policies, and lead by example during shifts without store management present, while supporting Thorntons’ core values and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Certifications preferred.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.

Responsibilities

• Act as the responsible leader on shift when Store Manager/General Manager is absent and oversee tasks, inventory, and compliance.
• Deliver guest service with a proactive, helpful attitude and follow store management instructions.
• Practice safe working habits and report maintenance or safety issues to management.
• Adhere to laws and regulations regarding alcohol, tobacco, and lottery sales.
• Prepare fresh food while meeting food safety requirements and obtain necessary certifications.
• Follow cash handling procedures and document price overrides, voids, and inventory variances.
• Keep coolers, beverage dispensers, and displays stocked and fronted.
• Use suggestive selling and promote the Refreshing Rewards program.
• Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, and equipment readiness.
