Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring a Shift Leader for our UC Davis store at 202 E St, Davis, CA 95616. You will lead the Cookie Crew, bake and package orders, and coach teammates to deliver warm, delicious cookies and a top-tier guest experience.

The role requires 1+ year in customer‑focused roles, POS experience, and strong communication. Evening and weekend shifts are common; opportunities for growth exist in a rapidly expanding bakery brand.

Qualifications

1+ year of customer‑focused experience
Point of Sale systems experience
Strong communication, time management, and people skills
Outgoing/friendly/patient and detail oriented
Ability to lead by example and motivate others
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Lead bakery operations during your shift and ensure an exceptional guest experience
Bake, package, and prepare orders while maintaining high service standards
Coach and motivate Cookie Crew members and delegate tasks
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and food safety across the shift
Handle cash management, deposits, and register accountability
Communicate updates with store leadership and collaborate for smooth operations
Step in to support team and ensure peak performance during busy hours
