Job summary

Chick-fil-A is seeking a Shift Leader to guide our team during scheduled shifts, uphold food safety and cleanliness standards, and maintain a consistently positive guest experience. You will provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to team members to ensure smooth, efficient operations and high-quality service.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a proactive approach to resolving operational issues.

Qualifications

• Restaurant/food service experience required; leadership experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle shift-level problem solving.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Utah Food Handlers Card is required. ServSafe certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Assist with training, coaching, and providing feedback to team members to maintain high performance and morale
• Ensure adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards at all times
• Monitor food quality, order accuracy, and speed of service to maintain an exceptional guest experience
• Handle shift-level staffing assignments, including breaks, station coverage, and task delegation
• Address and resolve customer concerns or operational issues promptly and professionally
• Carry out opening and closing procedures as scheduled
• Communicate shift updates, successes, and challenges to senior management
