Job summary

Zaxbys in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Shift Leader to manage shift operations, supervise staff, and resolve guest concerns while upholding brand standards. You will train and coach team members, ensure food safety, and maintain inventory and cash procedures throughout each shift.

The role demands flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with responsibilities centered on improving guest experiences and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Part-time: available to work 9 to 28 hours per week.
• Full-time: available to work 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
• Follows company standards and local laws with regards to employee time punches.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan and Food Safety Certification.
• Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager.
• Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
• Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level.
• Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift.
• Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
• Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations.
• Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete.
• Collaborate with management to develop goals and report progress to leadership.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain records; manage cash policies and daily inventory counts.
• Escalate HR and risk concerns to the General Manager and District Manager as needed.
• All other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly.
