Job summary

Whataburger in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence, lead a fast-paced team, and ensure quality, service and cleanliness on every shift.

You will coach and develop Family Members, manage schedule complexity across day and overnight shifts, and partner with the Restaurant Manager to hit cost, sales and safety goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to meet business needs with open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service and communication.
• ServSafe Food Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate team members to perform at peak levels.
• Support goals for food cost, labor cost, and sales performance.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability and positive culture.
• Prepare, lead and transition shift operations to keep restaurant running smoothly.
