Job summary

GDLP Restaurant Group is seeking a Shift Leader to help manage daily restaurant operations and lead shifts, coaching team members and maintaining high service standards for guests and staff alike.

This leadership role supports the General Manager and is designed to develop future management opportunities within the company. Strong communication, problem-solving, and attendance are essential, with a focus on safety and consistency in service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant, retail, or leadership experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations and support restaurant performance.
• Coach and encourage team members during each shift.
• Lead by example and promote a positive team culture.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
• Monitor ticket times and help deliver orders within quoted readiness times.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed to keep teams and guests safe.
• Support cash handling and ensure company procedures are followed.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift changing responsibilities.
• Communicate restaurant needs and maintenance concerns to management.
• Help train and develop new team members.
• Step into any position as needed to support the restaurant's success.
