Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Shift Leader for our EKU location at 112 E Main St, Richmond, KY 40475. You’ll lead the bakery during shifts, bake and package orders, coach the Cookie Crew, manage tasks, and ensure food safety and guest satisfaction.

This role combines leadership with hands-on baking in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include 1+ year in customer-focused roles, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead bakery operations during your shift to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Bake, package, and prepare orders while providing guest service.
• Coach and motivate Cookie Crew members with direction and feedback.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks to keep operations running efficiently.
• Help maintain product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and speed of service.
• Handle cash management and deposits.
