Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a winning team across shifts in a fast-paced retail environment. You will drive guest satisfaction, coaching teammates and ensuring food service, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and problem-solving as you support store operations and develop future leaders within the organization.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed).

Responsibilities

• Lead a winning team on your shift with a cheerful, can-do attitude.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time with guidance and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Train and guide your team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
• Model communication and accountability across shifts.
