Whataburger in Dallas is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence, lead a high-energy team, and coach crew members to deliver timely, friendly service.

You will manage shifts, control costs, ensure food safety, and maintain quality and cleanliness while fostering teamwork and a positive work culture. This role is based at your home restaurant with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Availability including overnights, weekends, holidays.
• Able to stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service and communication.
• ServSafe Food Certification required or able to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members — helping new hires ketchup quickly and seasoned pros turn up the heat.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and basic inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running like a well‑oiled fryer.
