Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily operations at your home restaurant in Dallas. You will lead a fast-paced team, coach crew members, and ensure quality, service and cleanliness on every shift.

You’ll manage scheduling, monitor food costs and labor, uphold safety standards, and foster a positive culture that motivates everyone to deliver great guest experiences. This role offers growth opportunities within Whataburger’s leadership track.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• ServSafe Food Certification or ability to obtain it during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members—helping new hires ketchup quickly and seasoned pros turn up the heat.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and basic inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
