Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily operations at your home restaurant, leading the team, coaching new hires, and ensuring quality and safety standards. You will manage shifts, control costs, and foster a positive work culture while delivering fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Able to meet business needs with open availability, including overnights and weekends.
• Capable of standing up to 10 hours and lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Experience coaching or leading teams with strong customer service and multitasking.
• ServSafe Food Certification or ability to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Team Members for quick ramp-up and growth.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, and sales performance.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
