Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill in Santa Monica, CA is hiring a Shift Leader to oversee FOH & BOH during each shift, ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will work with the management team to control labor and food costs, train and develop team members, and drive sales through superior service. A minimum of 1 year in food service management or 2 years in another role is required; Food Manager/ServSafe certification is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in related food service management preferred, or 2 years in other food service position.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Oversee daily operations of a restaurant shift (FOH and BOH).
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of FOH staff and train them to standards.
• Ensure team complies with safety, sanitation, hygiene, and uniform policies.
• Monitor food quality, labor costs, and inventory; meet sales goals and targets.
• Open/close restaurant following checklists; prepare deposits and reconcile cash.
