Job summary

Whataburger is hiring a Shift Leader to drive daily operations at your home restaurant. You will lead shift management, coach team members, and ensure quality, service, and cleanliness during fast-paced rushes.

You’ll manage costs, support sales performance, and uphold safety standards while fostering teamwork and a positive work culture. This role emphasizes growth and opportunity within a dynamic restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours, and dependable attendance.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., and meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service and communication skills.
• ServSafe Food Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members and new hires.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, and sales performance.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
