Job summary

Whataburger is hiring a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence and lead a team on each shift. You will coach, train, and motivate Family Members, ensuring quality, service, and a positive work culture while managing daily operations.

This on-site role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to meet physical demands, with opportunities for career growth within the Whataburger organization.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking.
• ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members to improve skills and confidence.
• Support goals related to food and labor cost, sales, and inventory basics.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and positive culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
