Whataburger is hiring a Shift Leader in our home restaurant, where you drive operations and mentor teammates to deliver fast, friendly service. You’ll lead shifts, coach Family Members, and optimize food cost, labor, and quality while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., and meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• ServSafe Food Certification (or the ability to obtain during training)

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members—helping new hires ketchup quickly and seasoned pros turn up the heat.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and basic inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running like a well‑oiled fryer.
