Job summary

Zax LLC is seeking a Shift Leader to manage the product, process, and people needed for a shift. You will supervise and assign tasks, respond to guest concerns, and ensure safety and quality across operations.

Lead by example, train staff, and align team efforts with shift goals while maintaining compliance with all guidelines. This role offers growth opportunities and a dynamic restaurant environment with a focus on excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Part‑time: Available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
• Full‑time: Available to work 32 to 40 hours per week
• Successful completion of background check.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
• Follows company standards and local laws with regards to employee time punches.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and manage time effectively.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to make sound judgements and decisions which align with company standards and values.
• Servant leader mindset
• Leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete all training requirements including: Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, Food Safety Certification, and any additional training required by Zax LLC.
• Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager.
• Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
• Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level.
• Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift.
• Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times.
• Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members satisfy guest expectations.
• Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete.
• Collaborate with management to develop goals and report progress.
