Job summary

Far West Restaurant Group is seeking a Shift Leader to help run daily restaurant operations, coach team members, and ensure guest satisfaction while upholding food safety and quality standards. You will lead shifts, monitor performance, and support the General Manager in delivering exceptional service.

This leadership role prepares you for future management opportunities, with emphasis on training, accountability, and hands-on development to promote within the company.

Qualifications

• 1+ year restaurant/retail/leadership experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required or in progress.
• Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations and support restaurant performance.
• Coach and encourage team members during each shift.
• Lead by example and promote a positive team culture.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are maintained.
• Monitor ticket times and help deliver orders within quoted readiness times.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed to keep teams and guests safe.
• Support cash handling and ensure company procedures are followed.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift changing responsibilities.
• Communicate restaurant needs and maintenance concerns to management.
• Help train and develop new team members.
• Step into any position as needed to support the success of the restaurant.
