Job summary

Far West Restaurant Group is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will support the General Manager and Assistant Manager by leading shifts, coaching team members, maintaining standards, and driving performance across the restaurant.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to food safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant, retail, or leadership experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Experience using a POS system preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and availability to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations and support restaurant performance.
• Coach and encourage team members during each shift.
• Lead by example and promote a positive team culture.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are maintained.
• Monitor ticket times and help deliver orders within quoted readiness times.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed to keep teams and guests safe.
• Support cash handling and ensure company procedures are followed.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift changing responsibilities.
• Communicate restaurant needs and maintenance concerns to management.
• Help train and develop new team members.
• Step into any position as needed to support the success of the restaurant.
