Job summary

The Halal Guys in Boston is seeking a Shift Lead to support the management team and ensure peak performance during shifts. The role focuses on hospitality, guest satisfaction, and maintaining operations across in-store, delivery, and catering channels.

As a certified shift leader, you will help recruit, train, and develop team members while handling daily tasks under budget constraints. This position serves as a stepping stone toward management within THG.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and team supervision.

Responsibilities

• Enriches each Guest’s experience by building relationships on the floor.
• Oversees restaurant operations while leading the shift.
• Handles guest complaints with grace and finds solutions.
• Works on increasing sales in-store, delivery and catering.
• Shares responsibilities with managers to follow and complete checklists.
• Performs office admin duties (cash handling, audits, etc.).
• Operates Revel POS and troubleshoots issues.
• Monitors equipment and keeps it in good repair.
• Manages labor to meet budgeted hours.
• Monitors food waste and inventory; resolves quality issues.
• Directs team to complete daily checklists.
• Leads team in maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Develops team through training and cross-training.
• Aims to recruit and retain top performers.
• Partners with Managers to drive hospitality and performance.
