Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader in Jacksonville, FL to run daily shifts and act as a hands-on leader. You will cover multiple roles—cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room—while ensuring fast, accurate service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coaching crew, training new members, maintaining brand standards, and managing shift tasks. Previous restaurant experience and strong communication are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred)
• A team-first mindset with strong communication
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports
