Job summary

RaceTrac seeks a hands-on Shift Manager in McKinney, TX to lead a fast-paced team, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold food safety and cleanliness standards. You’ll coach staff, manage daily operations, and support growth within the store’s leadership pipeline.

The role requires 2–3 years in retail/food service with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity; lifting up to 50 lbs and obtaining required permits may be needed. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Set a cheerful, can-do tone to motivate the team.
• Provide direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real time, offering guidance and support during shifts.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism; escalate when necessary.
• Train and guide staff to meet service, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, promotions, and compliance processes.
• Lead shift-change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
• Relay updates from leadership to shift associates and monitor task completion.
