El Pollo Loco is hiring a Shift Leader in Whittier, CA to oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts and in the absence of managers. You’ll drive exceptional service, manage inventory, cash handling, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ year restaurant supervisory experience and pass EPL Food Safety Audit after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts and in absence of managers.
• Manage opening/closing procedures, inventory checks, deliveries, and cash handling.
• Ensure service standards, safety, and QSC compliance while guiding team tasks and breaks.
• Train team on new products and procedures and adjust staffing for sales volume.
