Job summary

Guernsey Sonic is seeking a diligent Shift Lead to perform, lead, and supervise daily restaurant duties to ensure quality service. You will participate in training, enforce policies, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the shift.

The role requires leadership, multitasking, and strong communication, with irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position offers room for growth within a fast-paced food-service environment.

Qualifications

• General restaurant or retail knowledge is required.
• Basic math and reading skills are required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to follow directions accurately is required.
• Multitasking, decision-making, leadership and time-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform, lead, and supervise station duties (fountain & frozen, dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food prep, and drive-thru) as assigned to meet operational standards.
• Assist with new employee orientation and training.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Perform, lead, and supervise regular cleaning and sanitation duties – including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease – pursuant to operational standards.
• Lead shift meetings.
• Report customer or employee complaints/issues to MOD.
• Move and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.
