Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a Shift Leader in Brainerd, MN to guide the store in partnership with the GM or AGM. You will ensure brand standards, oversee operations, and coach the team for great guest experiences.

Responsibilities include leading shifts, maintaining cleanliness and safety, driving sales, managing tasks and handoffs, and training staff on products and promotions. This role emphasizes ownership, energy, and inclusive leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a leadership role.
• Shift Leaders may work different days/times as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of team member responsibilities with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Leads shifts with Make Fun Happen and maintains energy and focus.
• Optimizes product sales while managing waste and keeping a welcoming environment.
• Communicates deployment and roles to keep the shift moving on floor.
• Delegates objectives based on team needs and priorities.
• Owns the current shift and ensures smooth hand-offs.
• Upholds SOPs, quality, cash handling, and store safety.
• Coaches and trains the team on role responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions.
• Performs administrative tasks timely, including deposits, inventory, and orders.
• Develops Team Members through coaching and feedback in the moment.
• Brings brand core values to life: Support One Another, Make Fun Happen, Be Yourself, Take Ownership, Serve With Love.
• Leads as Manager on Duty with resilience and composure under pressure.
• Fosters an inclusive culture and supports own growth and impact on others.
