Job summary

Insomnia Cookies in Duluth, MN is looking for a Shift Leader to captain the bakery during busy periods. You will supervise operations, bake, take care of customers, and lead the Cookie Crew to deliver great service while maintaining quality.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, on-the-job training, and daily cash handling. You’ll help manage shifts, uphold safety and cleanliness, and foster a fun, productive team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a customer service role.
• Point of Sales systems experience.
• Outstanding communication, time management and people skills.
• Outgoing, friendly and patient demeanor.
• Detail oriented and results-driven.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products to guests throughout their experience.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift and coaching the team.
• Prioritize and delegate baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning tasks while leading the cookie crew.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.
• Provide a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safe food handling practices.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.
